The world famous Tour De France 2013 has been a wonderful event for cycling fans. The Cycling Anti Doping Foundation (CADF) has good news to disclose. Fortunately, there are no positive results for any Limit Exposing Drug in any of its cyclists. The team has taken 622 unit samples regarding the test.

Out of these samples, 113 units were for urine testing and 15 were for steroid tests. Officials have also revealed other testing schedule including HGH and supplements. The General Manager of UCI Team and former cyclists Alexander Vinokourov has commented positively on this news and appreciated the spirits of cyclists. It is to be noticed here that Alexander has been a reputed professional cyclist himself and won many titles including the famous Tour De France.

The reports and data regarding the testing and samples will be handled by the World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) if it would help in further research and development. During the whole program, a total of 443 blood sample units and 179 urine sample units were taken jointly for testing targeting various tests.

Important news was disclosed that these samples were kept preserved for about eight years. This means that the community will be able to test directly from the real sample units if any issue pops up in the future. This type of testing scheme with targeted action has been well completed by co-operation between two major testing agencies, CADF and AFLD. The testing was on site and hence leaves no doubt.

There is a positive agreement between the UCI and AFLD to safely store the sample for future retrospective testing.

Overall, it is very good news that no positive results have been found in Tour De France 2013, unlike earlier when numerous of positive results were spotted in the past few years, and sports bet australia speculates that this good habit will continue.

Alexander Vinokourov has commented positively that it is very good news for UCI that unfair practices have nearly come to an end.
