Chris Froome To Take It Slow And Steady

Chris Froome is known as a two time winner of coveted titles like the Tour de France.

He has changed the build up that he had since this year. There are prospects of taking part in the Olympics along with Tour de France and Vuelta a Espana this year and he has a different strategy in mind. He is looking to do less and achieve more this year, as per the Team Sky sources.

Froome has won Criterium du Duaphine this year, but he has already planned to take part in Tour de France coming up in July. The Olympics would be in August as well as Vuelta a Espana. He has, however, pedaled into the year a little softer than the usual force he puts into his profession. Since he has won the Tour de France event twice already, once in 2013 and then in 2015, he also has recent accolades like Herald Sun Tour in the month of February that he won along with the stage he participated in the Tour de Romandie.

There have been other feats as well, for instance, his participation in Dauphine, which was last week. However, this year he has kept himself free comparatively than the other years. He is not racing a lot, but keeping his stamina levels up for the Olympics as well as the Tour in July. Last year he had spent a lot of time going for GC, but this time he wishes to start fresh. He is spending more time at the training camps and staying put in one place like he visited Australia and stayed there for three weeks. He also spent time in other places like South Africa along with participating in the Sun Tour. He is looking to rest himself more this time before the season starts.
