Bradely Wins His Third Time Trial Of The Year

Sir Bradley Wiggins won his third time-trial of the year at the Tour of Britain 2014. This latest win in his bag, Wiggins cBlosed the third place in general classification. First rank is held steadfast by Dylan van Baarle and Kwiatkowski hold the second. Wiggins is hopeful to extend his deal with Team Sky later as the contract expires at the end of the year 2014.

Stage 8 of Tour of Britain was halved keeping in mind the Grand Tours that were held in the early 1980s. this time the morning spin was closely followed by an afternoon’s time trial of 88.8 kms in the same course. The second half that consisted of 10 laps witnessed a brawl between Marcel Kittel and Mark Cavendish. The race was tricky and Wiggins basks in his success after long. Unable to defend his title from last year, Wiggins mentioned that he is happy to have won the time-trial. He said that at the start of the week it was his goal and up at the third position he believes racing and winning is enough for him on a London track. He appreciates Dylan van Baarle and said that whoever deserves it has won it. Wiggins started seventh and continuosly improved by the day. At the end of it he was in a pretty good shape and rejoiced at one of the toughest rides in Britain.

Wiggins is also hopeful about Rio 2016. He says that he is serious about the attempt and wishes to be in shape in the next 18 months. He has also mentioned that he might go ahead in the London World Cup in December. Wiggins is also expected to race in the Tour of Flanders as well as Classics Paris-Roubaix in 2015. He assured that he will be back in Paris to “kill two birds with one stone”.
