Froome Another Victim Of Framed Assault

Chris Froome has revealed he was intentionally moved out of his bike by driver after a hit-and-run while he was training in France. The incident took place in southern France.


Froome is a three-time winner of Tour de France and he revealed this news by posting a picture on twitter that has his broken bike. Luckily, he got no injuries in the incident.

The Sky rider of team wrote: “got rammed just by a driver on purpose and was impatient, he followed me till the pavement! Thanks to god, I’m okay. My Bike totaled. But Driver kept going”.

According to the information, the picture that was posted was taken in Beausoleil, France, near to the home of Froome in Monaco. The bike of Froome ‘Pinarello Dogma F10’ seems to be broken beyond repair.

Sky of the team said after the accident Froome returned home, get his spare bike and started his training. He said, the incident will be reported soon to the police.

It is important to note that Froome is not the first one, who have been targeted and assaulted this way. Few days back, Giro d’Italia of the Astana team, winner of Michele Scarponi was killed in a similar accident. He was hit by a van and knocked off from his bike when he was in training and after finishing it, was on the way to home. This is the incident of Italy. He was preparing for Giro of 2017. After his death, Mortirolo climb was named on his name to give him the honor.

Similarly, last month Yoann Offredo rider Wanty-Groupe Gobert posted pictures of himself on social media. In the picture, he seems badly bloodied. He said while he was riding with his two of his friends, he was targeted and assaulted to this level.
